Retired laptop science instructor Eswari Jayaraman, 63, based mostly in Kumbakonam, has designed “Vidya”, an academic robotic powered by synthetic intelligence (AI) that she hopes will rework the classroom expertise for lecturers and college students within the coming years.

“Vidya” was created with technical help by DataCorp Engineering and Enterprise Options beneath the auspices of IIT-M Pravartak, the analysis and innovation hub of the Indian Institute of Know-how – Madras, and monetary assist from Built-in Enterprises.

Ms. Jayaraman has been engaged on two prototypes (‘Vidya’ and ‘Vidya Mini’) since 2020 and was helped by IIT-M within the robotics part. Each robots are outfitted to perform with all the college boards in India, she stated. “For a similar query, ‘Vidya’, with the assistance of AI, can customise its solutions in line with the age of the scholar,” she stated.

Ms. Jayaraman is planning to launch a Tamil model of ‘Vidya’ quickly, and hopes to make it extra inexpensive for presidency faculties.
