Srimukhalingam temple chief priest Naidugari Rajasekhar on Saturday noticed a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi asking the Union authorities to launch funds for the renovation and growth of the historic temple positioned in Jalumuru mandal of Srikakulam district.
He requested the federal government to take fast steps for the inclusion of the temple in UNESCO’s heritage constructions record, in order that it will get extra funds. Mr. Rajasekhar alleged that the ₹30 crore sanctioned beforehand was not used for the event of the temple regardless of the submission of a number of petitions to Ministers, Archaeological Division and others involved. He mentioned that the development of method street, association of illumination, infrastructure for vacationers and others had been the fast necessities of the temple.
