Hamas’ Palestinian militants have delayed the release of a second group of hostages, alleging that Israel has violated the four-day cease-fire that commenced on Friday.
Hamas claims that Israel’s actions are in violation of the terms of the ceasefire, leading them to postpone the exchange of 13 hostages for 42 Palestinian prisoners.
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that Hamas officials were displeased with Israel’s prevention of aid from reaching northern Gaza.
Meanwhile, the United Nations and Israel have confirmed that 200 aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip on Friday, with 50 of the trucks carrying food, water, shelter, and medical supplies intended for the northern part of the region through evacuation corridors.
