Israeli Defense Forces Seize Thousands of Hamas Weapons During Gaza Conflict

Israel has targeted more than 15,000 sites within the Gaza Strip and confiscated over 6,000 weapons since initiating military action against Hamas after the group’s incursion into southern Israel on October 7, resulting in the deaths of over 1,400 individuals, predominantly civilians, and the taking of numerous hostages.

The array of weapons seized from Hamas militants encompasses anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, rockets, mortars, and explosives, according to Israel Defense Forces officials who communicated this on their Telegram messaging page on Friday.

“In recent days, combined IDF forces have continued to target numerous terror sites in the Gaza Strip, including operation command centers, terror and rocket infrastructure, weapons and logistics depots, launch posts, terror tunnels, and numerous Hamas terrorists, as well as command, control, and intelligence targets,” the IDF stated.

Soldiers within Gaza are also coordinating joint attacks with the Israeli air force and navy, as per officials.

The IDF’s strategy has effectively divided the Gaza Strip in two, with the most intense operations focused in the north as thousands of Palestinians move south on foot to evade the conflict.

The Hamas-run Gazan Health Ministry claims that more than 10,000 individuals have been killed by the IDF, although these figures have not been substantiated independently and do not differentiate between civilians and Hamas casualties.
