Rachel Maddow Alleges Trump Wants to Take Action Against MSNBC

Rachel Maddow, host of MSNBC’s show, stated on Wednesday that if former President Donald Trump were to be elected again, he would put the news station on trial and “execute us.”

“He wants to put MSNBC on trial for treason so that he can execute us,” Maddow said on “The View.”

This statement was made in response to co-host Sara Haines’ remark that Trump “wants to cancel the news, so they’re done.”

In September, Trump announced on Truth Social that if he became president again, he would investigate Comcast, the parent company of NBC News and MSNBC, for their “Country Threatening Treason.”

“They are almost all dishonest and corrupt, but Comcast, with its one-side and vicious coverage by NBC News, and in particular MSNBC, often and correctly referred to as MSDNC (Democrat National Committee!), should be investigated for its ‘Country Threatening Treason,'” Trump wrote.

Trump is known for criticizing the news media and labeling any news outlet or story he disagrees with as “fake news.”

Maddow claimed that Trump is depicting a future for America where there won’t be another election because he frequently talks about how “the elections are all rigged, that the democratic process can’t be trusted.”

Currently, Trump is the leading Republican candidate for the 2024 election, and polls show him in a close race with President Biden in a hypothetical general election matchup.
